Sigrid Schmid was a great German-American soccer coach and was the most successful coach in the history of Major League Soccer.He was born on He was born in March 20, 1953 and died in December 25, 2018.Between time period 1980 and 1999 he became one of the most successful collegiate coaches of all time, also coached his former college team, the UCLA Bruins.
Expansion Seattle Sounders hired Sigi Schmid after winning the MLS Cup with Columbus in 2008. After some time Schmid joined ESPN as a studio analyst and was named the head coach of Los Angeles once again in 2017 by replacing Curt Onalfo. But due to some reasons he resigned from the position in September 2018 and was replaced by assistant coach Dominic Kinnear.
